incredABLE Mourne Centre

About

The incredABLE Mourne Centre social enterprise is a 26-bed self-catering residential facility on the outskirts of Kilkeel, Co. Down boasting breathtaking views of Slieve Binnian and the surrounding countryside.

Located in the heart of the Mourne Mountains, it is the perfect base to explore all the east coast county has to offer. It’s just over two miles from the tranquil surroundings of the Silent Valley Reservoir and three miles from the picturesque fishing port of Kilkeel. The very popular seaside resort of Newcastle is 14 miles north or head west to reach Rostrevor and Warrenpoint.

Hike the mountains, explore the beautiful forests or take your pick from a variety of water based activities in the local area including kayaking, canoeing and sailing.

Registered with Tourism NI, the recently renovated centre is modern and comfortable, providing high quality, value for money accommodation. Built with accessibility in mind, it is an ideal location for groups with disabilities and additional support needs. The venue is open all year round and is available for group bookings from organisations such as charities, church, sports clubs and youth clubs looking for meeting/conferencing facilities and/or activity space.

Each of the centre’s nine bedrooms have en-suite facilities. There is a large accessible wetroom on the ground floor with a changing bench and mobile hoist. (While the 'Changing Places' standard has not yet been reached, this is something currently being worked on.) There is also a brand new spacious and well-equipped kitchen. The sitting room, which is the main meeting room, can comfortably seat a group of approx 20 people. Floor plans of the building can be emailed on request – just get in touch.
