About

A Spacious Semi-Detached House in Semi-Rural location on the edge of the small village of Maghera, Co.Down, which is just a short 5 minute drive to the nearby towns of Newcastle & Castlewellan. This is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Tollymore and Castlewellan Forest Parks, Murlough Beach and the majestic Mourne Mountains are all within 3 miles of the house.

The award winning Maghera Inn is just a 2 minute walk from the house. Lots of great shops and restaurants also available in the nearby towns.

The house has is a great space for families and friends to spend time together, it has a large spacious living room, and a separate large kitchen and dining room and a large back garden.

There is 2 large double bedrooms and a further smaller room with a double pull out sofa bed.

There is also a large driveway for parking

Lots to do in the surrounding areas, play golf (Famous Royal County Down Golf Course just a 5 minute drive away), play tennis, go swimming, archery, walking/hiking, kayaking, horse riding or mountain biking to name just a few.

Lots for children too, we have Indoor & outdoor playgrounds, Castlewellan Peace Maze, or Funny Farm Adventures.

Some Game of Thrones sites are also nearby including Tollymore Park, Quoile River and Castleward (Aka Winterfell).

Don’t let the rain stop your fun either, with lots to do on rainy days, Go for a coffee in one of our numerous lovely coffee shops, go to the Amusements in Newcastle, Coco's indoor adventure playground, Local Community Cinema in Newcastle, or Omniplex in Nearby Downpatrick. Downpatrick Museum and the St Patricks Centre are worth a visit.

It's a beautiful scenic area to spend some time in and you will be spoilt for choice for things to see and do nearby, and after a long day sightseeing, hiking, shopping or playing sport, come back to the house, where you can relax, or take a short walk down to the Maghera Inn to enjoy the craic and try some good locally produced food and drink.
