As part of our annual International Walking Festival the Saint Patrick Centre is delighted to offer a taster of our popular Camino walks - for free!
Join our talented guides Martina and Elaine as you discover the rich heritage of Downpatrick and the legacy of Saint Patrick. Begin at the Saint Patrick Centre and walk in the Saint's footsteps on our Pilgrim's Way around the Medieval Town of Downpatrick. Encounter community and laughter with fellow pilgrims. Explore the stunning countryside and visit important sites in Patrick's story with our experienced guides who will bring Saint Patrick's story to life and discuss spiritual aspects of his journey. Enjoy a complimentary viewing of the Saint Patrick Centre's IMAX film on Patrick's life and mission and receive a commemorative pilgrim passport.
This walk is completely guided and follows paths as well as country roads. The route is approximately 6.5 miles, so we suggest a moderate fitness level. Weather appropriate gear is recommended, stout footwear is essential. Please ensure you bring water and snacks to enjoy during the break.
Meet at the Saint Patrick Centre at 9.50 to ensure prompt departure at 10.
