Illumaphonium (interactive light & sound) Newry

We are delighted to bring Halo:Illumaphonium to Sugar Island in Newry this February. Created by Michael Davis, this interactive light and sound installation will illuminate and make sound when the pieces are touched.

7 - 28 February

Storytelling Sessions at Rowallane Garden, Saintfield

Wrap up warm and snuggle into a story in our second hand bookshop at Rowallane Garden. Especially aimed at the little ones in the family, come and join us for a story every Wednesday morning in January and February.

Alpaca Adventure Trail, Cranfield

Meet, mingle, feed and herd our charming Alpacas surrounded by panoramic views of the Mournes and Carlingford Lough. Our alpaca adventure trail experience lets you get up close to our family of Alpacas whilst enjoying tales of Vikings, Knights, Emigration, Greencastle Aerodrome and learning about the Mourne Mountains, Carlingford Lough and Greencastle Castle. Children will love our treasure hunt and adults are awarded their alpaca adventure herding certificate – to frame when you get home!

Meelbeg & Meelmore Mountain Hike

Hike up Slieve Meelbeg &Meelmore 6th & 7th highest mountain in the Mournes. Hike Begins at Meelmore Lodge Carpark (Parking costs £4). From here we head up along the Ulster Way. Weather permitting we should get some nice views during the Hike. We will turn off and make a steady ascent up Meelbeg until we reach the summit, from here we follow the wall to Meelmore, before descending and heading back to Meelmore lodge.
