Photographic

The photographic archive is one of the most important parts of the Museum’s collection. Spanning the years from the later 19^th century to the present day, it provides a significant resource for anyone studying the history of the area. The collection is comprised of around 50,000 photographs, negatives and glass plates which are complimented by a large selection of cameras and accessories. The DJ McNeill collection forms the bulk of the material, with significant collections from Pat Hudson, Cecil Newman and Thomas Gribben.
