WARRENPOINT IS BACK IN BUSINESS WITH THE SUMMERTIME BLUES!

Picturesque Warrenpoint is once again set to play host to some of the world's leading blues and jazz performers who are heading to the County Down town for the much awaited 23rd International Guinness® Blues on the Bay Festival from 25-30 May 2022.

Sponsored by Diageo, the festival attracts thousands of music loving locals and tourists with many coming from across the globe to visit the renowned festival.

Celebrating its incredible 23rd anniversary, the International Guinness® Blues on the Bay Festival will become every music fan's paradise this year as it hosts six days of over 60 free breath-taking blues and jazz gigs, music and jam sessions.

Featuring amazing international blues musicians from across the globe and closer to home, this award-winning festival grows from strength to strength!

This year, festival fans will be treated to a musical extravaganza featuring international blues legends including Mirenda Rosenberg, CrowBlackChicken, The Pat McManus Band, Ronnie Greer, The Sabrejets, Dom Martin, Ken Haddock, Reverend Doc and The Unholy Gospel Band.

Other highlights include a 2-day Artisan food and craft market, a recording of BBC's Ralph McLean Show and a wealth of established Pros in the international blues festival circuit including: Ben Prevo, Mark S Black, Bernie Loughran, Andy Whittaker Band, Willie Byrne, The Backbone Blues Band, Mark Braidner, Tony Villiers And The Villains, Allison McGrath, Light - 70's rock band, Sam Davidson's Taste, Timeline, Ben Reel Music, The NiteHawks, The Stonecold Hobo, The DAVY K Project, Courtnay and John Giffin, Preacher Caseys, Keith Doran Band, The Arsonist Birds, The Gary Moore Blues Project, Speedy Mullan Band, Celtic Delta, Rusty Jacks, The Jambalaya, Maria Flynn and Dermot McQuaid, The Red Hot Roosters, and The Bluez Katz Blues Band.

The festival also starts and ends with two fantastic Blues Jams!

HOW TO GET THERE (WARRENPOINT, COUNTY DOWN BT34 3HN) By Car: Depart from Belfast on the M1, west bound. At junction 7 turn on to the A1 for Newry. At Newry turn left on to the A2 for Warrenpoint. From Dublin, take the N1 north to Newry, then take the A2 for Warrenpoint. By Rail: Rail services from Dublin and Belfast arrive in Newry, Station Road, telephone 028 3029 3531, and buses leave Warrenpoint from bus depot at the Mall (No.39 service: Newry to Warrenpoint), telephone 028 3026 3531. By Sea: Car and passenger ferries arrive and depart daily from Dublin, Larne and Belfast to the UK mainland. Contact Stena Line, P&O European Ferries or Seacat. www.poirishsea.com.
