Discover the forgotten tradition of the "hedge-school" by experiencing education delivered to children in the 18th and 19th centuries. Through this thought-provoking experience, discover the reasoning behind outdoor schooling and learn everyday Irish phrases in the Ulster dialect, huddled behind a hedgerow and hidden fom view. Leave wearing a traditional fáinne pin to confirm your Irish-speaking credentials.
Join local Irish language champion, Joe Kearney for an insight into the forgotten tradition of the Hedge School
Note: This is an outdoor experience. Visitors are advised to wear clothing appropriate to weather conditions.
