Join us this May for our annual Climb Slieve Donard challenge! Not only are we welcoming it back after a 2 year delay due to covid, but we want you to help us celebrate the 10th anniversary of our amazing walk.

Every month another 30 families across Ireland are told the devastating news that their child has cancer. Childhood cancer is a life changing and challenging experience and places extreme pressures on the whole family.

Every mile you conquer and every pound you raise will make sure we can be there to help families during one of the most difficult times in their lives and we can continue providing them with a safe and supportive environment at Daisy Lodge - our therapeutic short break centre in Newcastle, County Down.

Setting off from our registration point at Shimna Integrated College at 9.45am (registration opens at 9am) you will walk for approximately 5.8 miles in total, climbing to 2,550ft, and taking in the spectacular Mourne views around you. On a clear day, you will see as far as Scrabo Tower, the Wicklow Mountains, and Isle of Man!

Please note, we ask all participants to wear walking boots and that no dogs join us on the day for health and safety purposes. Anyone 12 years and older is welcome to sign up, and all under 18's must be accompanied by an adult. This challenge is classified as medium and does require a base level of fitness to take part and find it enjoyable.
