About

As part of the Aspiring Geopark Lúnasa Festival 2022 a guided walk on Warriors Wood on Dechomet Mountain, scanning the skies for raptors and other local wildlife.

Check out the newly planted native woodland and wonderful views over the Mournes.

Hear about the local history of the area and story of the reintroduction project for the Red Kites in Northern Ireland by Shelagh Henry of Red Kite Tours NI. 

Break for tea and refreshments and then view these majestic Red Kites soar at close quarters, at feeding time from the bird hide at the Red Kite Retreat feeding station.
