About

This painting course is aimed at beginners and those who have some experience of acrylic painting. The sessions will cover essentials such as getting started, choosing subject matter, composition, colour, perspective, still life, and landscapes. Materials needed are acrylic paints or oils and brushes. A canvas or painting board, sizes ranging from A3/A4, an image to paint, and a mixing tray.

Directions from Town: Follow the A7 from Belfast or the A25 from Clough into Downpatrick town centre, drive straight to the T junction at the end of Market Street and turn left. Down Arts Centre is a large red brick building with a clock tower on the right hand side, on the corner of Irish and Scotch Street. There are several paid and display car parks in the near vicinity and some on-street parking nearby.
