On 2 and 3 June, Down County Museum is offering free tours of the Gaol and Ballykinler History Hut.
They will provide a fascinating insight into the history of the Gaol and the stories of some of its prisoners, as well as the Museum's latest attraction, the Ballykinler Hut.
The Ballykinler Hut is a recreation of one of the Armstrong Huts that once stood at the former Ballykinler military camp and features displays and stories from the period 1914 and 1950 ranging from soldiers on their way to the Somme, internees during the Irish War of Independence, American GI's and Maltese refugees during World War Two.
2 and 3 June:
Gaol Tours at 10.30am and 13.30pm
Ballykinler Hut Tours at 11.30am and 14.30pm.
