About

This talk will focus on how using archives (witness testimony, depositions, memorials etc) can provide valuable insights into uncovering details about the days leading up to the rebellion, the battles of Saintfield and Ballynahinch, the immediate aftermath of the rebellion and the motivation and experiences of some of the local rebels.

Linda McKenna, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council's Heritage Officer will delve into this fascinating topic.
