About

This luxury water’s edge, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom ground floor apartment with its pretty private patio has spectacular views across Dundrum Bay to the majestic Mourne Mountains. It is only a few minutes walk into the village of Dundrum which has excellent restaurants and ample food shopping, and only 3 miles from the pretty town of Newcastle which lies right at the foot of the Slieve Donard. An extra guest bed is readily available, as is a cot.

The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with walk in shower, and the guest bathroom is spacious with both a bath and shower. The living area is bright and spacious, with an open plan kitchen, dining and seating area which face the constantly changing sea and mountain vistas. The living room opens to the private patio and the twin guest bedroom enjoys pretty garden views. The apartment is well equipped with parking close to the front door. A photographer’s, artist’s, nature lover’s and hikers paradise, it’s local amenities include walking, hiking in the near by Mourne Mountains, golf, fishing, Murlough Nature Reserve, Tollymore and Castlewellan Forest Parks and, for pampering, the luxurious Slieve Donard Hotel.

Other nearby areas of interest that are well worth visiting during your stay are several National Trust properties including the wonderful gardens and stately home of Mount Stewart, also CastleWard which was the location of Winterfell in Game of Thrones, and the little town of Killeleagh with its privately owned Castle and history related to Hans Sloan, the famous collector who grew up in the town, and was one of the founders of the British Museum. All these locations are within easy travel distance and provide wonderful walks and areas of interest.

The Apartment is right beside the water and has lovely views which constantly change with the tides. It provides the perfect place for a relaxing break and the local environment has many amenities for activity.
