Forest Living with Finnebrogue

Set in private woods just outside Downpatrick, the Finnebrogue School of Bushcraft offers beginner friendly workshops on outdoors skills, like camping and foraging, with expert instruction from Rob Hill. Start by learning to make a fire and build your own shelter, before moving onto more advanced wilderness skills.

Take the chance to learn life skills like first aid, and health and safety in the great outdoors. Lunch is provided by Finnebrogue. You’ll be given the chance to cook your own hand reared Dexter beef burger on an open campfire.

Falcon Outdoors is the brainchild of seasoned outdoorsman, Rob Hill, who has lived and practiced bushcraft all over the world since his teenage years. Rob has even lived completely off-grid with South American indigenous populations, bringing unique bushcraft expertise and experience to the Region.

Rob offers a wide variety of bushcraft activities, including foraging, fire making, woodcraft and wilderness survival workshops. Let Rob regale you with tales of his travels as you build your confidence and learn new skills in the great outdoors.

Bushcraft in Castlewellan

The Life Adventure Centre in Castlewellan gives guests the chance to learn the skills they need to thrive in the great outdoors. From fire craft and shelter building, to using tools and making your own rope, the Life Adventure team will teach you everything you need to know about life in the wild.

Bushcraft expeditions can be customised to suit your exact needs and interests, with the option for gear rental. Set in the family friendly grounds of Castlewellan, the Life Activity Centre caters for families, groups and solo adventurers of all ages.

Outdoor Adventures in the Ring of Gullion

Gullion Adventures offers all kinds of outdoor pursuits in the Slieve Gullion Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The centre’s activities are strongly focused team building, problem solving and leadership skills.

You’ll love getting hands-on experience of camping, camp craft, orientation and wild living. Slieve Gullion has a rich grounding in local mythology and folklore, making it the ideal location for outdoor adventures.
