Bryansford Cottage

About

Bryansford Cottage is a fine example of a 19th century gentleman's residence built at the foot of the stunning Mourne Mountains. Beautifully renovated and opened in 2019 as a boutique bed and breakfast, and function room.

Built in the 1830s for the land agent of the local estate, it's steeped in history and has a whole host of period features. The house has been renovated over the last two years since we moved in to provide modern twists and additional comfort.

Bryansford Cottage offers modern facilities in a traditional period setting within a quiet, yet convenient location with its own car parking on site and has easy walking access to the Mourne Mountains and Tollymore Forrest where fans of the TV series Game of Thrones® can visit the filming locations found there.

All bedrooms are unique with comfortable beds and fitted en suite, Free WiFi, complimentary fresh water, tea, coffee and sweet treats are also provided during your stay.

We are big breakfast fans at Bryansford Cottage and think a healthy breakfast will give you the perfect start to the day. We offer a number of options and we change the menu from week to week. For a lighter start, our options include granola with coconut yoghurt and berries or a supergreen smoothie. Our cooked breakfasts include porridge with mixed berry compote, eggs with avocado or our house speciality fluffy American-style pancakes with bacon and maple syrup.

You can walk into Tollymore from the house and from there to the Mournes. You'll need your own transport to get anywhere else. With 10 mins you could visit the local seaside town of Newcastle or the stunning Mulough nature reserve and beach.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information, either by phone or email we will be happy to help, to ensure that arrangements run smoothly.
