About

Fairy River Glamping is a New Unique Development based in the Heart of the High Mournes Mountain Range.

Situated at the base of Slieve Muck Mountain, Fairy River Boasts 2 Luxury Underground Cottages neatly tucked beneath an active farm at a Rivers Edge with a further 2 Witches Cabins added in 2022 that sleep2/3 per Cabin.

Each Fairy Cottage benefits from 2 bedrooms (both with en-suite), a kitchen, dining & living area along with a wood burning stove for those extra chilly Mourne Winter Nights. Outside you can expect your very own private garden with natural stone picnic and bistro tables. Add to that your very own private lane access to the Mountain Range & you're sorted for a fun filled exciting once in a life time experience.

Each Witches Cabin benefits from a large spacious living/dining area that converts to sleeping quarters, kitchen with microwave, fridge/freezer, heating ring, pots, pans, cutlery & everything you would need to prepare a meal. To the rear of the cabin is a toilet, wash basin and full sized shower. All cabins benefit from gas central heating, heat recovery systems & air purification systems to keep you warm whilst supplied with fresh mountain air during your stay  Outside you can expect your own private garden, seats made from the local trees on site, a large BBQ area to house your portable BBQ (BBQ Not Included), lights and a private river frontage.   

Surrounded completely by the Mourne Mountains you have a choice to climb as many of the peaks as you want and enjoy unrivalled views of the Landscape as it disappears into the Sea.

If Mountain Walking isn't your thing don't worry. Fairy River Glamping is centrally located with Kilkeel only a 10 minute Drive, Rostrevor a 15 minute Drive, Warrenpoint a 20 minute Drive, Newcastle a 25 Minute Drive and Newry a 25 -30 Minute Drive with each area offering an array of Pubs, restaurants, cafes & shopping to be enjoyed.

There are also a host of activities both out door and indoor to be enjoyed with the Game Keepers Horse Riding Lodge located right next door, Kilkeel Golf Club just a 5 minute drive, Silent Valley Reservoir just a 5 minute drive (or a walk over the Mountain), Rostrevor Forest Park 15 Minute Drive and several more forest parks along with paint balling, go-karting, canoeing, sailing, archery and much much more all in the local area.

The Mourne Mountains is famous for its rich culture, mythical history and warm welcome so why not pay us a visit and enjoy all this unique landscape has to offer.
