About

The area is steeped in the history of St Patrick and St Patrick's monument is just a mile away. if your feeling energetic a walk to the monument is worth it for the views.

There are several restaurants in the village of Strangford and a good pub, also plenty to choose from in Downpatrick too. From Strangford, Portaferry is just a short ferry crossing where there is an aquarium and the Ards Peninsular to explore.
