We are nestled in the heart of Newcastle town centre, tucked away by the quiet and peaceful Shimna river. It offers breathtaking views, surrounded by majestic mountains, the Irish Sea and unspoiled nature. We have meticulously designed this romantic getaway to embody peace and tranquility. 

Self catering accommodation with everything you would need to cook and prepare your own meals. Private gated residence with free secure parking.  When you book The Hikers House you get the whole house and grounds to yourself. This is a private retreat just for you.

Landmark views of the highest and second highest mountains in Northern Ireland. Slieve Donard and Slieve Commedagh. River and lake views of the Shimna river and boating lake that is steeped in history.
