About

Fernhill cottage garden is nestled within the majestic drumlins of County Down overlooking Slieve Croob and roughly 4 miles from the nearest market town of Ballynahinch. We are at an altitude of 400 ft above sea level.

This is a 3.5 acre plant lover's garden developed lovingly by the owners since 2013. The garden is situated on an exposed windy site with heavy clay soil.

We have a mixture of themed beds and borders having spring bulbs, woodland plants, colourful perennials, wide range of shrubs and trees. All our beds are designed with succession planting in mind that extends the gardening season. We look forward to your visit and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

No pets allowed, unless a guide dog.

We are open by appointment only. Pre booking is essential.
