About

Warmth, Wilderness and Wellbeing in the Heart of Mourne.

Welcome to Wild Mourne Wellness, a mobile, wood-fired sauna experience rooted in connection, community, and the wild beauty of the Mourne landscape.

Currently based at the Harbour House Inn in Newcastle, right beside the Irish Sea, we offer a deeply restorative wellness experience that blends traditional sauna culture with cold-water dips, reflection, and human connection.

Framed by the sea on one side and the Mourne Mountains on the other, Harbour House is our current home. From this unique seaside base, we host small-group sauna sessions, sea dips, and guided wellness moments designed to help people feel calm, clear-headed, and connected.

Our mission goes far beyond heat and cold. Wild Mourne Wellness was born from lived experience and a deep belief in the healing power of community. We're creating rural wellness spaces that are open to everyone, with a special focus on inclusion, accessibility, and mental health. Our team brings together backgrounds in coaching, education, and business. We know what it means to need a space where you can just be, and feel better for it.

The Harbour House setup is intentionally simple: a handcrafted wood-burning sauna, space to gather, fresh sea air, and the elemental contrast of heat and cold. Sessions include quiet time, conversation, and the option to plunge into the sea. Our sauna culture is relaxed, safe, and social. You don't need to be fit, experienced, or wellness-savvy to take part. Just bring a towel and an open mind.

We are developing partnerships with local meditation experts, yoga and pilates instructors and personal trainers to offer a whole host of wellness activities coupled with our sauna sessions.   Whether you come alone or with friends, whether you dip or simply rest, Wild Mourne Wellness offers something rare: a space to be still, breathe deeply, and feel part of something bigger.
