Anthony Toner at Down Arts Centre

Down Arts Centre, 2 - 6 Irish Street, Downpatrick, County Down, BT30 6BP
Anthony Toner

About

Anthony Toner returns to the welcoming surroundings of Down Arts Centre for an intimate solo acoustic performance, in support of a brand new collection of songs, released this autumn under the title The Big Seas of their Dreams.

The acclaimed songwriter - well known for songs like 'Sailortown', 'Well Well Well', 'The Road to Fivemiletown' and many more - is emerging from a period of the dreaded writer's block, so it's his first collection of new songs in over two years.

As always, you can expect work filled with compassion, humour and grace - and all of it beautifully played. Expect a variety of those much-appreciated songs from the back catalogue, too, as well as some blues, some between-song patter and perhaps even the odd outburst of short verse, renditions from some of Anthony's favourite poets.
