Calligraphy Workshop

Down County Museum, The Mall, English Street, Downpatrick, County Down, BT30 6AH
Calligraphy

About

Using exemplars from the 13th century we will construct a Gothic alphabet.   This style was common with slight variations throughout the 14th century as well.

We will use the tracing and coping method to both understand the construction of the letters.

A capital alphabet will be introduced with a small project to complete the day.

Pens, tracing paper and practice paper will all be available on the day.

Price includes a sandwich lunch.
