*Gardens closed due to tree surgery and clearing. Now to meet at Ranger's Hut at 2pm on Sat and Sun for heritage led walk covering history of estate and gardens.*

Castlewellan Arboretum and Annesley Garden has an outstanding collection of historic trees and shrubs from around the world including many champion trees. There is also double herbaceous borders that is 350 feet long backed by yew hedges festooned with Scarlett flowers of tropaeolum. Some of the trees date from the 1850's and were among the first to come into the country.
