Family fun abounds at the Down County Museum, Downpatrick this St Patrick's Day.

Before and after the Downpatrick parade, come and spend some time with us enjoying entertainment, music, dancing and craft, as well as our wonderful museum collections, and it's all free!

Brennan Miskelly McCormick School of Irish Dancing (11.30am-12noon and 3.30pm - 4pm) the talented dancers from will dazzle us with their flying feet.

Crafts (11am to 1.30pm and 3pm to 4.30pm) with Sensory Play with Splat Messy Play from 11.30am until 4 pm in Lunch Room (designed especially for children who may require additional support and who may find the parade overwhelming).

We will have live music from some returning favourites including Newtownards Silver Band (from 11am), piper Danny McGreevey and friends (from 12 noon to 1pm), Seamus McKibbin and Friends (from 3pm to 3.30pm and 4pm to 4.30pm)!

Dr. Nick (12.30pm) and Frankie Magilligan (3pm) with entertaining shows together with circus entertainment throughout the day at Down County Museum and Down Arts Centre, Downpatrick.

With Coffee and treats throughout the day from the Southpoint Coffee Company.

And of course, our museum collections are open to inspire and intrigue all day (10am to 4.30pm) including the new British Museum Touring Exhibition, 'For the curious and interested', and objects related to St Patrick and early Christianity in Down.

We also have harpist Sarah McVeigh performing outside Down Arts Centre on Irish Street.  Do join us in Down County Museum this St Patrick's Day!
