Have you ever wondered about what creatures come out at night? This family friendly event starts with a talk about Castlewellan Forest Park's most elusive residents followed by a bat walk.

The Saturday morning session will be recording any moths that have been caught in the trap the night before.

Suitable for children aged 8+

Children's craft activity and light refreshments provided

Booking is essential.

Activities are provided FREE through the Re-rooting our past in
our future project that is made possible with The National
Lottery Heritage Fund and Newry, Mourne and Down
District Council.

From Belfast follow the A24 through Ballynahinch, Seaforde and Clough. In Clough follow the A25. Castlewellan Forest Park is located in the town of Castlewellan on the right. From Dublin follow the M1 to Newry. From A1 take the exit towards Newry/A28/Downpatrick/A25. Follow the A25 to Castlewellan. The Forest park is located on the left in Castlewellan town.
