About

Join Shelagh Henry from Red Kites Tour NI for a dawn chorus walk through the various landscapes of Castlewellan Historic Demesne to listen and identify the wonderful sounds of the birds that call the forest their home.

This free walk will last approximately 90mins followed by tea/coffee and a selection of pastries and fruits whilst finding out more about the birds heard during the walk. This walk will take place on concrete, gravel and grass paths so please wear appropriate footwear and dress for the weather predicted on the morning.

Please meet at the main car park at 5.45am promptly - there will be a short 10min walk to the beginning of the guided dawn chorus walk.

Basic binoculars will be provided but please bring your own if you wish.

As this is a free event funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of the Re-Rooting our Past in the Future: Castlewellan Historic Demesne, please contact cfp@nnmandd.org if you can no longer attend.

One ticket per participant.
