Join us for a fun-filled day of exploring the biodiversity of Delamont Country Park!

Get ready to discover and document the various species of plants and animals that call Delamont home.

Don't miss this opportunity to connect with nature and learn more about the incredible wildlife around us. Join in one of our scheduled workshops, chat to representatives from conservation groups or pick up a recording sheet and carry out your own survey.

Whether you are an amateur or species expert your time spent documenting the biodiversity on the site is extremely valuable.

Scheduled walks/workshops - look for the gazebo in the carpark

8:30am - 9:30am Moth recording in the walled garden
10:30am - 12:00pm Bird ID and woodlands
12:00pm - 1:30pm Explore the shore
1:30pm - 3:00pm Pollinator power! (aka bees and butterflies)

Road Directions

Directions to Delamont Country Park - from Belfast follow the A1 to Ormeau Road/A24. Follow the A24 and A7 to Killyleagh Street in Crossgar. Continue on Killyleagh Street to Killyleagh. Follow Downpatrick Road to Delamont Country Park. Delamont Country Park is located on the left. From Dublin continue on M1. Take A1 to Lower Quilly Road, Dromore. Follow B2 to Church Street/A24 in Ballynahinch. At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Church Street A24. Turn left onto Downpatrick Road/B2. Turn right onto Belfast Road/A7. Follow Finnebrogue Road and A22 to Delamont Country Park. The entrance is on the right.
