Lord Rawdon's Montalto - Battle of Ballynahinch Walking Tour

Montalto Estate, Spa Road, Ballynahinch, County Down, BT24 8PT
Lord Rawdon's Montalto

About

On the anniversary of the Battle of Ballynahinch, take a walking tour through Montalto Estate and visit the site of the battle with 'Lord Rawdon'.

Inhale the scents of these beautiful gardens and hear the crunch of gravel underfoot as you are transported back in time to hear the stories of not only the battle, but the estate itself. Feel centuries melt away as Lord Rawdon, Earl of Moira (a very convincing costumed guide) welcomes visitors to his home.

Over light refreshments, you will hear his vision for Montalto as a jewel in the heart of the County Down countryside with an estate including a lake and a vast woodland of native and naturalised trees. Through your charming and humorous guide, gain a deep appreciation for this estate's past before fully embracing nature within the serenely lush grounds.
**Please dress accordingly for woodland terrain and weather conditions. Each participant will be giving individual audio equipment so they can enjoy the experience while maintaining social distancing.**

This event forms part of the Tourism Ireland Embrace A Giant Spirit Experiences.
