Mourne Strings Presents… An Evening of String Music

Co Down, Newcastle, Main Street, Newcastle, County Down, BT33 0AD
Mourne

About

Join us for an inspiring evening of music with Nikki Hagan's Mourne Strings, featuring 2 dynamic String Orchestras – Mourne Strings Training Orchestra, made up of 7 – 13-year-olds showcasing the talent of younger students & Mourne Strings Senior Orchestra aged 14 +, a special group of both Nikki's current and past students. Some of these performers are returning to their instruments after years away and others are now teaching their instruments! There will also be performances from smaller chamber groups such as Quartets and Duets as well as some solo performances.

Mourne Strings was founded in January 2025 as an exciting extension of Summer Strings, the summer course led by Nikki Hagan, which has nurtured musicians for 32 years. This concert is a true celebration of the connections and passion for music that continue to grow through generations of students and the amazing relationships that are nurtured through playing!

Doors: 6:30pm - Concert: 7pm - 9:30pm, with Interval
