About

Summer Scheme:

“Learn, Create & Grow”

At Nurturing Minds, we believe that education goes beyond textbooks — it’s about building confidence, developing life skills, and nurturing happy, well-rounded children. That’s exactly what our Summer Scheme is designed to do.

We understand that summer is a time for fun and freedom, but it’s also a great opportunity to boost your child’s learning, social skills, and confidence before heading into a new school year. Our Summer Scheme runs just 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 10 AM – 12 PM, making it the perfect balance of fun, learning, and creativity — without overwhelming their summer break.

What Makes Our Summer Scheme Different?

Technology-Free Learning – We believe that children learn best when they’re off screens and engaged with the world around them. Every activity is hands-on, creative, and interactive — ensuring they stay mentally stimulated without the distractions of phones, iPads, or social media.

Building Friendships – Summer can feel isolating for some children, especially if they don’t have many planned activities. Our scheme is designed to build friendships, boost confidence, and encourage social interaction, helping them feel connected and supported.

Enhancing Literacy & Numeracy Skills – Without the pressure of a formal classroom, we incorporate fun and practical learning into each session. From maths games, creative writing tasks, and problem-solving activities, we ensure your child stays mentally sharp throughout the summer.

Transfer Test Preparation – For Primary 6 students sitting the Transfer Test (SEAG) in November, we offer light-touch exam practice without it feeling overwhelming. This includes comprehension tasks, maths problem-solving, and exam techniques, ensuring they feel confident and prepared without burning out during the summer.

Building Confidence & Self-Belief – At Nurturing Minds, we place a huge emphasis on helping children believe in themselves. Through small group work, team-building games, creative challenges, and goal-setting tasks, we ensure every child leaves our summer scheme feeling more confident and capable.

A Positive Mindset Going Into The New School Year – Our goal isn’t just to teach maths and English — it’s to prepare your child mentally and emotionally for the year ahead. Through mindset activities, gratitude practices, breathwork, and positive reinforcement, we’ll help them develop tools to manage stress, build resilience, and approach the new school year with confidence.
