Sewing Machine Basics For Young Designers

Down Arts Centre, 2 - 6 Irish Street, Downpatrick, County Down, BT30 6BP
Sewing Machine Basics

About

This workshop is specifically made for young people who are new to sewing, or who would like a refresher on how to use a modern sewing machine. You will learn how to thread a machine, wind the bobbin and how to sew basic stitches. We will talk about stitch width, length and tension. By the end of the workshop once you have learnt how to master the sewing machine you will work on a small sewing project.

Participants should bring along a sewing machine (in good working order) with a spare needle. If you don't have a sewing machine, enquire at time of booking and one maybe available to use.
