About

Join artist Martin McParland for a stroll and sketch along the Quoile river.

Take in the sights of the beautiful Quoile and capture the scenery in your sketches.

From novice to expert, all experience levels are welcome. Suitable for children 11+ provided they are accompanied by an adult.

This event is part of the Heritage Walking Festival, co-organised by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and The Saint Patrick Centre, taking place in Downpatrick and beyond and connecting you with our local heritage and environment in an exciting range of themed walks.

The easy graded walk (3 miles) is broken up with regular stops for sketching.

Please bring something to lean on and something portable to sit on.

Pencils and sketch paper will be provided for those who require (please indicate when booking).

Weather appropriate gear is recommended, practical footwear is essential.
