About
Step into the cells at Down County Museum this Halloween and hear the voices of those who never truly left. Tales from the Gaol is a new audio installation beginning on the 27th October, where historic documents have allowed for the real-life stories of 19th century prisoners at Down Gaol to be told like never before.
From Ann Morrison's account of a forged banknote that changed her life forever, to Michael McIlvena's confession as a phony minister, listen to their voices echo through the cells where they once waited for judgment.
Listen closely, the walls of Down County Museum have stories to tell.
