Hidden in the heart of Castlewellan Forest Park is The Mini Forest Fest, where our younger visitors can celebrate the late summer in style!

Nature sensory trays with Splat Messy Play.

Music and bubbles with Community Tribal Drummers.

Craft activities and nature hunts.

Suitable for children aged 2-6yrs (younger siblings welcome)

Normal car parking charges apply

Activities are provided FREE through the Re-rooting our past in our future project that is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.

Road Directions

From Belfast follow the A24 through Ballynahinch, Seaforde and Clough. In Clough follow the A25. Castlewellan Forest Park is located in the town of Castlewellan on the right. From Dublin follow the M1 to Newry. From A1 take the exit towards Newry/A28/Downpatrick/A25. Follow the A25 to Castlewellan. The Forest park is located on the left in Castlewellan town.
