    The High Mournes Scenic Loop delves into the very heart of the famous Mourne Mountains offering iconic views of Slieve Commedagh, Bernagh, Meelmore, Meelbeg and beyond. Below the summits, the charming village of Bryansford and Tollymore Forest Park are well worth a stop for walks along the Shimna River and among the wonderfully ornate and quirky stone bridges, gates, and follies of this planted demesne. If you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a Red Squirrel or two.
  2. The Granite Trail, Newcastle
    The Granite Trail covers a relatively short distance from coast to open moorland, the Granite Trail in Newcastle offers the opportunity to see artifacts from the once thriving granite industry of Mourne. Differing natural habitats can be enjoyed as you walk through coniferous forest and mature woodland beside mountain streams and rivers.

    This 16km Category 4 trail takes you through some of the most beautiful parts of Rostrevor Forest and offers spectacular views of Kilbroney River Valley.
  4. A circular route in the central Mournes taking in sites such as Annalong Wood, Slievelamagan, Ben Crom Reservoir, Cove Mountain and Annalong Valley, with views over the Irish Sea and to the Isle of Man.
