The Schomberg Society is hosting a major event to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day in Kilkeel.

The VE 80 Street Tattoo will take place on Monday 5th May 2025 from 7.30pm on Greencastle Street, Kilkeel. This is a free event and will include performances by Marching Bands, Highland Dancers, Top Class Singers, The Victory Rollers War Time Swing Band, World Champion Drum Majors, Pageantry, Fifes and Lambeg Drums and Much More! Children's Face Painters and Balloon Modelling will also be on site!

Following the Tattoo, a VE 80 themed parade will make its way from the Tattoo Arena down Knockchree Avenue, featuring Military Vehicles and Floats, Living History Re-Enactors, Marching Bands, World Champion Drum Majors, Highland Dancers & Much More!

The Parade will finish at Mourne Esplanade for an Act of Remembrance, Beacon Lighting, 21 Cannon Gun Salute with Living History Re-Enactors and Fireworks Extravaganza!

This is a free event and everyone is more than welcome to come along and join in with the celebrations!
