About

Warrenpoint Beach is located alongside the Mourne Mountains on the shores of Carlingford Lough, in County Down. A gently sloping shingle beach with well developed facilities that include shopping and a promenade popular with all types of walkers.

Warrenpoint Beach was the birth place of a local activity provider and the area is known locally as “Warrenpoint Baths”. From here groups can enjoy a whole host of adventure on Carlingford Lough, from Kayaking, Banana Boating, Jet Skiing, Pier Jumping and canoeing to name just a few. The baths are also equipped with changing rooms, showers, stores and private patio area, not to mention the large salt water swimming pool, one of the last remaining in Northern Ireland.

Facilities: Car Parking, Promenade (suitable for all abilities), Child Friendly Areas, Dogs Allowed, Toilets, Visitor Information Point in Town Hall, water sports available upon request.

Directions from Town:
Warrenpoint Beach is accessible from many points along the Seaview, best access from the lower end of Queen street (A2) with nearby parking. Warrenpoint Park close to the centre of the town has a magnificent array of flowers and shrubs and the fine Edwardian bandstand is the focus for popular summer band concerts. Facilities include tennis courts and play area.
