Wild and Free Savour the Sea's - Savour the Flavour of our Seaweed Food Tour


Join us at the meeting point at Kilmorey Arms Kilkeel from here we will travel to Nicholsons Starnd and forage for seaweeds an array of colour delights as we walk to Home Port and discover the kelps and the wracks along with dulse and sea lettuce.


Delight in the ambience of your surroundings as you hear the endearing call of the cormorant's, curlews and bring a camera and you might capture the resident herron as it feeds just of Derryogue.


Gather a Seaweed Spa bath to take home and immerse in as a reminder of the day.


For those brave enough enjoy a wild Sea Swim or why not dip those feet in the brinny waters and let them wash all your worries away.
Afterwards we head back to our hub overlooking the Slip at Kilkeel Harbour, watch as the local boats land their catches you might see Wilson the seal.


Here we enjoy a coastal flavours extravengaza of sustainably harvested locally caught mussels, crab , oysters served with local organic breads and salads with dipping oils. Cava or Soft Drinks is served with the meal along with our Multi Award Winning Seaweed, you may even want to purchase a salt or seasoning on the day.


Relax and chat a while as we serve Peppermint Kombu Tea and try our traditional Irish Moss Pudding.
As the day ends reflect on the waves feeling your feet and the sand being your seat as you enjoy a Day out at the Beach
