Wild women sunrise

About

Join us for a soul-nourishing morning designed to reconnect you with your breath, your body, & the beauty of nature. This uplifting women's gathering invites you to greet the day with intention, presence, & a renewed sense of vitality.

We begin with a small hike to our spot overlooking the Irish sea, where we will enjoy a grounding breathwork session, gently awakening the body & calming the mind as morning light touches the earth. Guided by the rhythm of your breath and gentle movement, you'll release tension, invite clarity, and energise from within.

After breathwork, we'll move together into the invigorating embrace of a wild swim — a powerful return to nature that stimulates circulation, boosts your immune system, and leaves you feeling refreshed and alive. It's a fun & empowering way to reconnect with your strength & vitality, held by the water and supported by a circle of women.

We'll then gather for a warming ceremonial cacao circle, where we enjoy this nutrient-rich drink in community. Cacao is a natural mood-booster, packed with antioxidants, magnesium, and theobromine — supporting mental clarity, heart health, and a gentle lift in energy and focus without the usual crash associated with coffee.

A nourishing, feel-good way to complete the morning.

**We use fair trade, locally made cacao from 'Neary Nogs' chocolate makers, nestled here in the Mournes.

** Native Breath events are led by Miriam Marshall an Advanced Breathwork Instructor, trained with Galway man Patrick Mckeown of 'Oxygen Advantage'.

Miriam is a local artist, Wild Women's Wellness Events coordinator and has been based with her family in Rostrevor since 2012 **

**At Native Breath, all of our breathwork techniques are taught by Oxygen Advantage, (founded in 2002), which focuses on improving breathing techniques for various health benefits like improved sports performance, reduced anxiety, and better sleep.

**We do not use rapid; hyper-ventilation or any other patterns designed to induce altered states, such as Holotropic, Rebirthing, Sudarshan Kriya, or the Wim Hof Method.

**In these evening group events, the breathwork is gentle; beginner-friendly and purely designed to bring the body into simple relaxation.

We alway use nasal inhalation and use a combination of the following techniques:

Diaphragmatic Breathing: Conscious use of the diaphragm for deep inhalations and exhalations, promoting relaxation and efficient oxygen intake
Box Breathing: A technique involving controlled inhalations, holds, exhalations, and holds, often used for stress management
Alternate Nostril Breathing: A yogic breathing technique that involves alternating between inhaling and exhaling through each nostril
Rib-Stretch Breathing: A deep breathing exercise that focuses on expanding the rib cage during inhalation
**For deeper work and a structured wellness journey, we do offer private one-to-one in person and online sessions tailored to your specific needs.
