      Make your day

      1. Dog running on beach

Buckets and spades at the ready, leave it to us to find you the best beaches to build your sandcastle on!

It looks like summer has arrived and long may it last!  There’s nothing like a long day out at the beach with your family or friends.  So, socks off and try dipping your toes into the cool blue waters of one of our many beaches listed below.

We have 3 beaches in our area that have once again been awarded Blue Flag status this year and that is something to be very proud of!  The categories that need to be met for Blue Flag standards are water quality, safety and public environmental education.

      2. Forests & Parks
The Mourne Mountains & Ring of Gullion is home to expansive woodlands and dedicated parks. Whether you want to escape to the forest, or spend a fun family day out in one of our many adventure play parks, you’ll be well catered for in Down and Armagh.
      3. Cranfield Alpacas Experience in Kilkeel County Down

You could spend a lifetime discovering the treasures of our region, and of course the people who are lucky enough to live and work here do just that every day. There is so much to enjoy and see in this wee corner of the world that it can be really tough to choose. We thought we might make it a little easier for you with a few must-see and must-do experiences for you while you’re here.
