About

Get straight to the heart of what makes the Mourne Mountains great at this warm and welcoming celebration of our céilí culture as part of the Aspiring Geopark Lúnasa Festival

This up-beat look at our traditional form of socialising will transport you from pre-Ice Age to modern times through song and storytelling. Lose yourself in our smuggling traditions and our long love affair with the devil's buttermilk.

Learn the lost arts of playing the bones, keening and lilting, among an abundance of delightfully odd facts, history and traditions. This hands-on experience has something for everyone … with tears, laughter, a drop of póitin and good old-fashioned fun guaranteed. Bring your own songs/stories/instruments. Adults 18+
