This year's Mourne Gullion Strangford Aspiring UNESCO Global Geopark Lúnasa Festival is bigger and better than ever with more than 40 events for you to choose from - there is something to suit everyone on offer. This grass roots heritage festival brings us together annually for a time celebration and hope. Traditionally, a harvest celebration, the 2022 Lúnasa Festival celebrates traditions, heritage and skills of the past in immersive and participatory experiences alongside nature walks and tours by the best providers this aspiring Geopark has to offer.
What is the Lúnasa Festival?
Come join us as we learn more about the people of the Geopark as we tap into a lifetime love for their passions during each of their visitor experiences. We will go foraging with Brian as he introduces us to a world of wild edibles growing in the ditches and hedges of, make traditional bread with Tracey in Denvir’s and enjoy walking the footsteps of Saint Patrick in Patrick and the Pagan Hills with Duane.
