About

This August, Dylan Quinn's vibrant Dance Corner will pop up in three locations in Mourne Gullion Strangford, inviting locals and visitors alike to join in the fun. Dylan will invite people of all abilities and backgrounds to meet him in a purpose-built space, to dance, move or just be together.

On 15–16 August 2025, Newry City's Hill Street will come alive with music and movement, followed by a seaside session in Newcastle on 19 August. The tour then heads to Warrenpoint on 20 August, bringing this unique, mobile dance experience to the heart of each community. Free and open to all, the Dance Corner offers a chance to step in, move to the beat, and connect through the joy of dance.

Dance Artist Dylan Quinn has just commenced the second leg of his nine county tour this, having travelled across Antrim, Monaghan, Donegal and Cavan in June, Dylan will now travel to 11 locations in counties Tyrone, Derry, Down and Fermanagh throughout the month of August.

This custom-built Dance Corner designed and constructed by local artist Jon Kelly, will begin its Ulster-wide tour, bringing exciting and innovative dance experiences to people outside of conventional spaces, and in their locality. Dylan is encouraging people from
the locality to dance with him in the Dance Corner for 5 minutes, or for the
whole afternoon, before he packs up and moves on to his next destination!

In the Dance Corner – a commission by Luail – Ireland's National Dance Company in partnership with Maiden Voyage Dance – Dylan will invite people of all abilities and backgrounds to meet him in this purpose-built space, to dance, move or just be together.
This very special and bespoke event is open and welcome to all. Dance Corner is part of an all-island dance project entitled To This I Belong – a commission celebrating home, landscape and community.
