Narrow Water Arts Festival: Frank Sinatra's Close to You

Canal Court Hotel, Merchants Quay, Newry, County Down, BT35 8HF
Close to You

About

Close to You

Matt Ford vocalist with The Fews Ensemble, Geraldine O'Doherty and James Pearson and friends.

NCM is delighted to present this stunning production of Close to You. The concert is a celebration of both Frank Sinatra and his principal arranger Nelson Riddle. Some 70 years after it's first release Close to You remains a beloved and timeless Sinatra album. Drawing on the traditions of both classical music and jazz, Riddle's arrangements incorporated the famous Hollywood String Quartet who were the foremost string players of their time in LA. Featuring the Fews Ensemble, some of London's leading jazz players and the sensational vocalist Matt Ford, widely regarded as the finest big band singer in the UK, who takes centre stage for what promises to be an unforgettable evening.
