Wonka Screening | Newry Arts Festival

About

Enter the magical world of Wonka at The Imaginarium... Newry Arts Festival in association with Sticky Fingers Arts and Film Hub N.I invite you to join us for a wondrous screening of Wonka complete with a magical interactive workshop that Willy Wonka himself would be proud of!

Join us at the 'The Imaginarium' with our interactive workshop to bring the film to life; add a little imagination and a spoonful of curiosity to create a delightful adventure for all ages. Make your own very own chocolate factory delights, with pom pom candy and super pipe cleaners lollypop sticks, in a magical world, anything and everything is possible.

Inspired by Roald Dahl's Wonka books but not related to them, filmmaker Paul King's prequel 'Wonka', is a delightful magical tale featuring a wonderful and tender performance from Timotheé Chalamet.

Armed with nothing but a hatful of dreams, young chocolatier, Willy Wonka, manages to change the world; one delectable bite at a time… with dreams of opening a shop in a city renowned for its chocolate, a young and poor Willy Wonka discovers that the industry is run by a cartel of greedy chocolatiers. Wonka is delightful musical treat, a prequel to the beloved Gene Wilder classic that builds off that original adding its own flavour.
