Think local ...

Give a gift and spend local at the same time in this season for giving.  Whether it's a relaxing mid week break that you've been dreaming of, a day of Giant Adventures full of outdoor activities or a quiet night in a cosy restaurant or pub, this decision is totally up to you!

The Aroma of Autumn is in the Air

There’s something very special in the air in Mourne, Gullion and Strangford now that the summer sun is ebbing away. You can feel the crisp autumn breeze, curl up at the crackling log fire and watch the bristling leaves, floating delicately towards the ground.  All this inspires us to immerse ourselves in the great outdoors and wide open spaces.

Experience a Weekend of fun in and around Newcastle

If you're travelling to the Eats and Beats Food and Drink festival this September, the seaside town of Newcastle, located at the foot of the Mourne Mountains, is a great base to explore the area. Whether you’re just here for the day or you decide to stay longer there is plenty to see and do in and around Newcastle for every kind of visitor.

    Bank Holiday Bonanza!

This May we are so lucky to have three bank holidays to take some time off to be with our friends and family, so let us show you how to enjoy every moment, even on a budget!

The Mourne Mountains, Ring of Gullion and Strangford Lough areas are home to expansive woodlands and dedicated parks. Whether you want to escape to the forest, spend a fun family day out in one of our many adventure play parks, or enjoy an event, you’ll be well catered for in Counties Down and Armagh.

Mother’s Day 2022 - How are you planning to celebrate?

Mother’s Day is a special occasion to honour mothers and influential mother-like figures. It is a day to celebrate motherhood and a time where love, gratitude and appreciation are shown through acts of kindness and the giving of gifts.

Here are a few suggestions for you and your mum to have a fun day out in our area.
