Meet the guide:

Robbie is a local mountain guide who fell in love with the Mournes when he met his beautiful wife Evelyn. Evelyn lived in a small farmhouse on the slopes of Slieve Muck, the same house her grandfather lived in who was one of the many local Mourne Men who dedicated their lives to constructing the Mourne Wall and Silent Valley.

Robbie is extremely passionate about the mountains, he carries a past of long-distance mountain running completing 100km races in the Alps along with any local race going. Robbie is also a keen landscape photographer and spends most of his time in the Mournes which has developed a deep connection with the landscape.

In a past life Robbie was a manager in a corporate company which brings strong group management and decision-making skills into the hills.
Robbie is a Qualified Mountain Leader, fully insured and certified in Outdoor First Aid.
