Enjoy the beautiful Hilltown mountains and the stories that come with them, with experienced mountain guide Peter Rafferty of Walk The Mournes. The route follows the beautiful Yellow River to where it rises, through turf bogs from which our ancestors fed their fires, to the panoramic viewpoint of Pierce's Castle, before returning to the starting point at Leitrim Lodge Car Park.
Bring packed lunch. Hiking boots necessary. 6km walk with some steep sections. Moderately challenging.
