About

As part of the Ring of Gullion Festival, roam through the hills and heritage in the heart of the Ring of Gullion, with Holistic Tourguide, Ann Ward from Xhale. We will walk approx. 6 miles return, from her WW2 hut in Meigh, to the Celtic Court Tomb of Ballymacdermot and back again. Breathe in the spectacular landscape, with Slieve Gullion mountain by your side. Enjoy a nurturing lunch back at the hut, including: sandwiches/wraps; fruit and Autumn Fest Fifteens (Mourne Food Adventures); infused water and tea/coffee.

Road Directions

Ballymacdermot Court Tomb is situated on the south side of Ballymacdermot mountain in County Armagh.To get to Ballymacdermot Court Tomb from Newry City, take the A1 South, then the B113 Forkhill Road toward Slieve Gullion Forest Park (coming off the first roundabout). After about a mile, take the first right to reach a T-junction. At the T-junction, turn right, and Ballymacdermot Court Tomb is situated on your right shortly after the turn, and is signposted.
