The destination is thrilled to announce the launch of a range of new outdoor activity and adventure experiences promising unforgettable moments for nature enthusiasts, soft adventurers and thrill- seekers alike in the Mourne Gullion Strangford Region.

With the good weather approaching its time to get outdoors! The three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Mourne Mountains and Ring of Gullion feature several coastal paths and coastal walks that give you the opportunity to see and explore the picturesque scenery that hugs the coastline, some that are more accessible than others so make sure to wear sensible footwear!

There are so many things to see and do in Mourne Mountains & Ring of Gullion, that it was hard narrowing it down to just ten. We have complied a list of reasons to visit this unique and picturesque area and if it doesn't persuade you to visit Mourne, Gullion, Strangford this year, I don't know what will!

Northern Ireland is home to the beautiful Mourne Mountains and Ring of Gullion, located in the Mourne Gullion Strangford Gepark,  it offers a stunning range of Mountain peaks.

Autumn is approaching and it is the greatest season to get outdoors, the nights are getting darker, the chill and mist is in the air and the foliage is changing from green to gold, amber and russet. So, put on your cosy sweaters, go outside and enjoy the satisfying crunch of the fallen leaves beneath your feet!  

Cycling has always been a favourite way to get out and about to explore our beautiful region and with so many activity centres available to hire a bike for the day, you don’t even need to have your own wheels!  Have a look at the cycling routes we have laid out for you and get on your bike!

The Mourne Mountains are a beautiful range located in Northern Ireland. They offer a variety of hikes and stunning views that are perfect for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

May is National Walking Month!

It's time to get the hiking boots out and go explore the wonderful landscape of Mourne, Gullion and Strangford.  It doesn't matter what your preference is this region can cater for every need.  You can explore the coast, head inland to one of the many forest parks, uncover beautiful gardens or if you have the energy, pack your rucksack and head off into the mountains.

Where would you find a better place to go for a brisk stroll, a gentle dander or a family ramble than Delamont Country Park in Killyleagh?  It's time to pack a picnic, put on your walking shoes and get out and explore the various walks in this beautiful Country Park.
